ABFF

We are a non-profit organization that is ran strictly by volunteers who contribute their time, resources and efforts to empowering our youths through various programs.  Founded by William J. Brown in 2005, ABFF consists of young professional men and women. We promote and uplift young boys and girls throughout their surrounding communities through various programs.  Such a history has yielded a consistent track record of keeping youths off the streets and free from illegal substances and activities, enabling them to become sound, productive members of the community.

Scholarships

William J. Brown Scholarship

iN HONOR OF William J. Brown

The A BRIGTHER Future Foundation William J. Brown Scholarship (WJBS) was inspired by the founder of A BRIGHTER Future Foundation, our friend and our brother William J. Brown who was affectionately
known as “Boo”. Mr. Brown was a wonderful human being who devoted himself to giving back. His sudden passing on December 14, 2016 not only impacted the organization, but left a lasting imprint on the lives of so many young people through the Low Country. Mr. Brown worked tirelessly to develop and offer program and services to at risk youths.

The WJBS seeks to provide support to a deserving young man who embodies the leadership, commitment, dedication and sacrifice Mr. Brown made daily in his continued efforts to give back to those less fortunate. We pray that this scholarship will provide a brighter future for a deserving young man.

Purpose of Faith-In-Action Scholarship

iN HONOR OF Melonie Pinckney Stewart

The A BRIGHTER Future Foundation Faith-In-Action Scholarship was inspired by our colleague and dear friend, Melonie Pinckney Stewart. Mrs. Stewart was an awesome woman of God, wife, mother daughter, sister and dear friend, who passed away on January 20, 2010, Mrs. Stewart was a faithful servant to Gods Kingdom.  Her tireless efforts and generosity to inspire and encourage young women was admirable.  She was called home to be the Lord after a long battle with breast cancer. Yet, her Faith never wavered.

Her courageous fight against breast cancer inspired us to create this scholarship in her honor.  It is our intent to encourage young women to possess the same courageous spirit.  We hope that this scholarship will provide a brighter future for a deserving young woman.
